June 16, 2007 - The Crouse Racing team got its week
underway this past Thursday night with a visit to the KRA
Speedway in Willmar, Mn. After enduring a side by side battle
with Dave Mass in his heat race, Jeff started the feature
event on the inside of the third row. Jeff steadily worked his
way forward finding himself in the second position with seven
laps remaining. Jeff was able to close in on Steve Beach in
the remaining laps but it was not enough as Jeff settled for a
very good second place finish. Jeff also finished second in
his heat race. Saturday night Team Crouse headed for nearby
Viking Speedway. Crouse had a very good run in his heat race
coming home third which gave him the ninth starting spot for
the feature. Jeff battled intensily during the 20 lap main
event moving up two spots to finish seventh in the 30 car
field.
Sunday night Team Crouse made its first appearance of the
season at the Madison Speedway. Jeff started the first WISSOTA
Super Stock heat race in the fourth position and when the dust
settled, picked up the heat race win. Jeff's dominating heat
race performance put him in the sixth starting spot for the
feature. Crouse worked by Jeff Flaten, Mike Peterson, Billy
Michealson and Bob Holquist during the fifteen lap main event
finishing a great run in second behind speedway regular Greg
Keppen.
Team Crouse had a great weekend with 2 second place
finishes and one top ten finishe as well as a heat race win.
